Rings
Finding your ring size might seem tricky, but it's actually pretty simple—you can do it yourself at home in just a few minutes! Whether you're measuring your finger or checking the size of a ring you already own, we've got you covered with quick and easy methods. Let’s dive in!
"String" method
Cut a Strip: Grab a thin piece of paper or string about 6 inches (15 cm) long. If you're using paper, make it about ½ inch (1.3 cm) wide. No need to be super precise—just estimate!
Wrap It Around Your Finger: Take the strip and wrap it snugly around the base of the finger where you'll wear the ring. It should be tight enough to stay in place but not so tight that it's uncomfortable. Mark the spot where the end overlaps.
Tip: avoid pulling too tightly since they can stretch and throw off your measurement.
Using a measuring tape
Wrap It Around Your Finger: Position the tape around the base of your finger, close to the knuckle, so the ring will slide on and off comfortably. Make sure to measure the exact finger you’ll be wearing the ring on—each hand can have slightly different sizes!
Time It Right: Your fingers actually change size throughout the day! For the most accurate fit, measure your finger in the evening when it’s at its largest.
Record Your Measurement: Take note of where the tape overlaps and write down the number in millimeters. This gives you the circumference of your finger. To find the diameter, divide the circumference by 3.14 (π).
Match It to a Ring Size Chart: Now, just compare your measurement to a ring size chart! For example, a circumference of 59.5 mm would be a size 9. If your measurement falls between two sizes, go with the larger one for a more comfortable fit.
